You’re invited to take a walk on the wild side.
Join your Akron Press Club colleagues on Wednesday, June 8 at the Akron Zoo for a wild journey. Go behind the scenes of Grizzly Ridge for a peek at where the zoo’s animal keepers perform their daily duties.
We’ll begin with continental breakfast and networking from 7:30-8 a.m. at the Komodo Kingdom cafe. Following breakfast, attendees will hear from David Barnhardt, director of marketing and public relations, talk about changes at the zoo over its 63-year history. Plus, learn about the zoo’s newest residents, including its snow leopard cubs, as well as about its community events and coming attractions.
Following David’s talk, attendees will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Akron Zoo’s Grizzly Ridge exhibit and talk to the keepers that care for the bears.
Hurry, registration ends Friday, May 27. You don’t want to be left out of the wild.
Current Akron Press Club Members pay only $10 for this special program. Non-members pay $25, which includes event registration AND Akron Press Club membership for the remainder of 2016!
