Established in 1971, the Akron Press Club includes more than 100 members from Summit, Medina, Portage, Stark, Trumbull and Wayne counties. Throughout its existence, the Akron Press Club has earned a reputation as a fraternal, philanthropic and community-oriented organization. It has a rich heritage of blending stimulating dialogue with entertaining programs designed to be of interest to its varied membership. In addition, since membership fees are significantly lower than comparable organizations, the Akron Press Club offers a truly outstanding value. Members of the Akron Press Club are journalists, communicators and public relations professionals, and frequently news makers themselves.
