Ten years ago, a group of concerned philanthropic organizations came together for a landmark civic engagement project. Voices and Choices convened meetings throughout Northeast Ohio and brought together thousands of voices from every sector of our regional economy. Conceived as a response to what had been termed "The Quiet Crisis," Voices and Choices was designed to create an agenda for an innovative philanthropic collaboration called The Fund for our Economic Future. Ten years and $100 million later, where are we? And where are we headed? We'll find answers to those questions and assess the Fund's and our region's progress against the benchmarks that matter most in our regional economy. The panel includes: Brad Whitehead, President, Fund for Our Economic Future, Christine Amer Mayer, President, GAR Foundation and Amy Liu, Senior Fellow and Co-Director of the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, Brookings Institution. Moderated by David Molpus, Executive Editor at WCPN. This event is co-sponsored by the Akron Press Club and the City Club of Cleveland. Location: Quaker Station Grand Ballroom, 135 South Broadway, Akron, OH 44325 Tickets: $25 City Club and Akron Press Club members/$30 nonmembers Go to https://www.cityclub.org/events/10-years-100-million-a-look-at-the-work-of-the-fund-for-our-economic-future to register.
