Democratic candidate for Ohio Auditor of State Zack Space will speak at the Akron Press Club Tuesday, March 6, at the Tangier in Akron. There will be the opportunity for questions from the audience.
This event is co-sponsored with the University of Akron’s Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics and the City Club of Cleveland.
Space is a former member of the U.S. House, where he represented Ohio’s 18th District from 2007 to 2011. Upon leaving the House, he joined Vorys Advisors of Columbus. He also is a board member for a number of non-profits, including the Rural Community Assistance Partnership CoalBlue, the Ohio Association of Nonprofit Organizations and the Ohio Black Legislative Caucus Foundation.
After earning a B.A. from Kenyon College and a J.D. at The Ohio State University, Space returned to his native Dover in Tuscarawas County where he managed a consumer-oriented law practice. He also served as a public defender and as Dover’s law director.
