Join the Akron Press Club for a conversation on how auto tariffs are impacting the local economy. Tom Flory, Managing Partner at Serra Auto Park, will offer insights from the front lines of the auto dealerships, where rising material costs and tariffs on foreign-made parts are shaping business decisions and consumer experiences.
Representing a range of brands including Honda, Acura, Mazda, Subaru, and Chevrolet, Flory brings a dealer-level view that is informed by more than 30 years in the automotive industry. He’ll share what’s happening on the ground in Northeast Ohio and take questions from the audience.

Support Student Scholarships
Proceeds from Akron Press Club events fund scholarships for journalism and public relations students. Between the Press Club and the John S. Knight Memorial Scholarship Fund, scholarships of $5,000 were awarded to nine students in 2025. The Press Club sincerely thanks Summit County, Dr. Aileen Thong and Elizabeth Bartz for their donations to the scholarship fund. The Press Club also partnered with Sojourner Truth Education Committee to award two scholarships of $5,000 to Akron Public Schools graduating seniors.
